Ahold Delhaize CEO Frans Muller said the grocery giant is “roughly half” the way toward its goal for ad sales revenue on its retail media networks.

“What we generate on retail media revenue, we will reinvest in our business to make sure that consumers can afford themselves healthy and sustainable products,” Mr. Muller said.

Ahold Delhaize already owns a retail media business named Peapod Digital Labs in the USA and is planning to create a sister agency in Europe, this time focusing on new brands not carried in the company’s supermarkets.

Another interesting fact is that Ahold Delhaize is currently ranked as having the highest employee retention rate when compared to other retail companies.
