Ahold Pays $1.1 Billion in Compensation to Shareholders

In efforts to put its 2003 accounting scandal to rest, Ahold said today that shareholders who purchased stock between July 30, 1999 and February 23, 2003 would receive between $1 and $1.30 per share in compensation.
