Albertsons Unveils Limited Line of Lemon-Scented, Flavored Private-Label Items

Albertsons will unveil its first line of lemon-scented and flavored private-label items to celebrate spring’s arrival.

The lemony supermarket items will include candy, cookies, pretzels, chips, popcorn, sparkling water, and more. The products span several of the grocer’s store brands, including Signature SELECT, Overjoyed, and Soleil.

Per a press release, the grocery items will be presented in “vibrant, unified packaging across brands.” The products will be promoted via a marketing campaign called “Burst of Flavor” and will be available in stores and online.

“At Albertsons Cos., we put our customers at the center of everything we do to create Customers for Life,” said EVP of Merchandising and Chief Digital Officer Omer Gajial. “By investing in our Own Brands and introducing innovative products, we’re adding value and excitement for our customers. This spring, our new Own Brands lemon-inspired offerings add variety and novelty to our customers’ weekly shopping routines, inspiring them to explore and try new products and create new moments of delight.”

A More Detailed Look at Albertsons’s New Private-Label Items

Albertsons’ new limited-edition lemon-scented and flavored products are the supermarket’s newest additions for spring. These lemon-inspired products can be found across Albertsons, including its bakery, deli, frozen, and floral departments. Some of these products include Overjoyed’s lemon-flavored wafer rolls, mini cookies, sandwich sugar cookies, and madeleines.

There are also lemon-inspired snacks, such as Lemon Potato Chips, Lemon Pepper Cashews, and Raspberry Lemon Crispy Rice Treats. Soleil also debuted the following sparkling water flavors: Prickly Pear Lemon and Lemon and Yuzu Citrus. Looking into the future, the company is already planning exciting seasonal programs for the fall and winter, similar to its spring rollout, each with a festive twist.
