Albertsons to bid for Haggen stores

Albertsons has placed bids on 36 of the 95 stores that Haggen is auctioning off. Haggen originally acquired the properties when Albertsons and Safeway had to sell locations to get regulatory approval for the merger between the two large grocery chains.
