Aldi to pay workers 'living wage' in U.K. and Ireland

The limited assortment grocery chain is upping its minimum wage to £8.40 an hour beginning next February, well above the £7.20 rate required in the U.K. for workers 25 years and older. The move is expected to put pressure on Aldi's chief grocery competitors.
