Alibaba invests in Amazon's latest rival

Jet.com founder Marc Lore knows all about Amazon.com. He previously co-founded Quidsi, the operator of Diapers.com and Soap.com, which was bought by Amazon. Jet.com, which promises to offer cheaper prices than Amazon when it goes live, has attracted millions of dollars in capital investment including an unspecified amount from Alibaba.
