All the major retailers have started using Meta’s new Threads platform — except Costco
July 11, 2023
Nine of the top 10 retailers in the United States have joined Meta’s new social media app, Threads, with the notable exception of Costco. Some of the retailers that have already joined Threads include Macy’s, Kroger, Nordstrom, Target, and Walmart, and they are using Threads to reach a younger audience and promote their brands. Costco’s lack of urgency in joining the new app could be due to the fact that it makes more of its profits from memberships and in-person shopping than it does from digital sales.
