Amazon Books to open tomorrow in Chicago

Amazon opens a 6,000-square-foot bookstore in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood on Tuesday, the fifth of its kind and the first non-mall location. While many in the industry are skeptical of the online retailer’s ability to run physical stores, Jennifer Cast, vice president of Amazon Books, sounds confident. “We just believe that we can do this well, and we believe that if we do it well, we will have an even stronger relationship with our customers,” she told the Trib.
