Amazon’s Latest Healthcare Expansion: Virtual Clinics in All 50 States
August 3, 2023
Amazon is expanding its virtual healthcare clinic to all 50 U.S. states, providing customers with access to virtual care for more than 30 common health concerns, including urinary tract infections, pink eye, and erectile dysfunction. The service connects users to licensed clinicians who offer 24/7 access through Amazon’s website and mobile app, supporting both message-based consultations and video visits. This expansion comes after Amazon’s $3.9 billion acquisition of One Medical earlier this year, giving the company a presence in local community healthcare systems for in-person services, further solidifying its push into the healthcare industry and competing with rivals like CVS Health, Walgreens, and Walmart.
