American Apparel may replace board in deal to repay loan

American Apparel is in talks with Standard General, a hedge fund that controls 43 percent of the company's stock, to pay off a $10 million loan from Lion Capital while working through tumult resulting from the board's decision to fire CEO Dov Charney for cause.
