American women are ready to trade in yoga pants for dresses

Anthropologie reported that dresses made up seven of its 10 top sellers during the last week of February. “Up until recently, the fashion predominantly has been ... casual and home comfortable,” said Richard Hayne, CEO of Urban Outfitters, the parent company of Anthropologie. “We’re beginning to see what I’m calling ‘go-out fashion’ start to take hold. The apparel business will be in for a change in terms of what categories we sell.”
