Americans are saving as they wait for a COVID-19 vaccine

Fifty-four percent of Americans are saving at least some money as they wait for a vaccine for the coronavirus to become publicly available, according to a Gallup and Franklin Templeton survey. The U.S. personal savings rate hit a record higher in April (33 percent) and has fallen since then to 17.8 percent in July.
