Job security is at levels not seen since the 1960s as the number of people laid off from their jobs currently stands at 1.1 per 1,000 people. “Right now, Americans are experiencing the highest level of job security on record by many measures,” said Aaron Sojourner, an economist at the University of Minnesota.
