Analyst: Jewel Prices Up Since Price Cut Announcement

Scott Mushkin, managing director at Jefferies & Co., said Jewel-Osco's prices have increased six percent since last May based on a sample market basket comparison. The chain announced last spring that it was cutting prices on thousands of items across its stores.
