President Trump’s pick for labor secretary, Andrew Puzder, has withdrawn his name from consideration, bowing to opposition from Democrats, critical of his stance on labor regulation, and Republicans, who seem mostly concerned with the candidate’s sullied personal history. Mr. Puzder, CEO of the parent company of Hardee’s and Carl’s Jr., faced immediate criticism upon nomination from current and former employees based on his record of worker rights.
