Apple to participate in Japan's 'Lucky Bag' tradition again this year

On Jan. 2, Apple will repeat its fukubukuro ("lucky bag") promotion that was successful in Japan in 2014 when the retailer sent out heavily discounted $345 packages including such grab bag items as iPod nanos, MacBook Air laptops and the Beats by Dre Pill Bluetooth speakers.
