Adam Dumey is a visionary technology executive with over two decades of leadership experience, specializing in scaling emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Autonomous Retail, and Cloud computing across both public and commercial sectors. Renowned for his strategic acumen in transforming cutting-edge technologies into sustainable and scalable enterprise-ready solutions, Adam has established himself as a trusted advisor to Boards and C-suite executives on AI implementation and digital transformation strategies. His expertise has directly contributed to the successful deployment of AI solutions that have driven multi-million dollar efficiency gains and revenue growth for Fortune 500 companies.
As the leader of WWT’s Global Enterprise Sales Retail organization, Adam drives strategies that empower customers to boost revenue, streamline operations, and enhance their market positioning. He orchestrates the seamless integration of WWT’s extensive partner ecosystem, including industry giants like Nvidia, Dell, Crowdstrike, and Cisco, with WWT’s comprehensive service offerings. This unique blend encompasses business strategy and consulting, cybersecurity solutions, technical architecture implementation, digital design, and staffing support, enabling Adam and his team to deliver holistic, cutting-edge solutions that address the complex challenges faced by retail enterprises in today’s dynamic market landscape.
Prior to WWT, Adam held leadership roles at Amazon Web Services (AWS), showcasing his expertise in emerging technologies and customer-centric solutions across multiple retail customers. In addition to leading Global GTM activities for AWS’ autonomous retail technology, Adam also led a Customer Experience team focused on AI adoption across contact center modernization, omni-channel customer engagement, marketing and personalization strategies. In both roles, he collaborated with internal teams (product, finance, implementation, and sales) and external stakeholders (Board, C-suite, Division Executives) to drive value realization outcomes and to create differentiated capabilities for his customers. His contributions to Amazon’s thought leadership are evidenced by a United States Patent and Trade Office (USPTO) filing in computer vision AI, underscoring his commitment to innovation in this rapidly evolving field.
Before AWS, while at IBM, Adam assumed leadership roles across sales, implementation and alliance roles with an emphasis developing and scaling AI solutions. Again, Adam was active in innovation activities through AI-focused patent submissions, three of which were granted by the USTPO (semantic search and knowledge graph). Adam also worked at the FBI where he modernized multiple operational and administrative systems, ultimately being awarded the prestigious Director’s Award for his technical leadership and execution abilities.
Adam holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and a bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from Wesleyan University. His professional credentials include Project Management Professional (PMP) and Program Management Professional (PgMP) certifications from the Project Management Institute (PMI). Adam is also a published psychology researcher with a paper in Memory & Cognition and serves as a Faculty member at the Stakeholder Leadership Governance Institute. He has also been recognized as one of the most distinguished Hispanic executives in technology via the HITEC 100 award (2022 and 2023).
Adam is a Board Director with the Make-A-Wish Foundation. He is also passionate about healthy living and currently consults for the Aspen Institute’s Sports & Society program. He lives in Northern Virginia with his wife and two children and is active in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Crossfit, Muay Thai and triathlon competitions.
