Author Biography

Bernadette R. Giacomazzo is a Harvard-certified editor, writer, photographer, publicist, and digital marketing specialist with nearly 30 years of experience in the entertainment industry. Her work has appeared in over 100 publications, including Teen Vogue, People, Newsweek, Us Weekly, The Los Angeles Times, and The New York Post. Based in New York, she co-authored Swimming with Sharks: A Real World, How-To Guide to Success (and Failure) in the Business of Music (for the 21st Century) and penned the dystopian fiction series The Uprising, beginning with The Gathering. Bernadette’s poetry chapbook, Aquarius Rising, was released by Nightingale & Sparrow Press in December 2022. She also authored In Living Color: A Cultural History (February 2023) and The Golden Girls: A Cultural History (August 2023), both published by Rowman & Littlefield Press. Her upcoming book, Law & Order: A Cultural History, is set for release on Bloomsbury Press in June 2025.
