Banana Republic and Gap are a drag on Gap Inc. earnings

Gap Inc. lowered its forecasts after Banana Republic saw its same-store sales decline 12 percent and Gap fell four percent in the third quarter. Old Navy was the lone bright spot for the company, posting a same-store gain of four percent.
