Banks Say Retailers Lied About Interchange Fees

A banking industry group, the Electronic Payments Coalition (EPC), said retailers promised that consumers would save money if Congress passed the Durbin amendment. Roughly one-year has transpired since the bill was passed and consumers have yet to see any benefit, according to the group.
