‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ Afterlife Experience: All the Details

Located in Los Angeles, the new Afterlife Experience focused on the smash hit “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” immerses film fans into everything exciting and wonderful about the Tim Burton sequel.

The official site for the attraction explains its premise: “For a limited time, grab your Afterlife Passport and take a seat in the Waiting Room, where you’ll be immersed into the strange and unusual world of the Recently Deceased filled with ghoulish, interactive entertainment, photo ops, themed food & drinks…that are to die for.”

The Afterlife Experience includes recreated sets from the movie, live entertainment, ghosts, and other surprises. There’s also an Afterlife Diner and a place to purchase exclusive film merchandise. The all-ages fun is open through October, from Wednesday through Sunday each week, and is just over an hour long. Plus, guests can interact with all the characters.

‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ Afterlife Experience Teams Up With Secret Deodorant

The Afterlife Experience has teamed up with Secret Deodorant for a campaign that showcases the brand’s Whole Body Deodorant. A hilarious new commercial features characters from the iconic waiting room and their “secret” to staying fresh beyond the grave.

“We developed the Secret Whole Body Deodorant collection to provide long-lasting odor protection for women no matter what life — or the Afterlife in this case — throws their way,” said Kate DiCarlo, senior communications director at Procter & Gamble. Secret’s collection includes a stick, invisible cream, and spray — all dermatologist-tested to be gentle on the skin.

“Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” is a sequel to the 1988 film “Beetlejuice.” It stars Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, Catherine O’Hara, Justin Theroux, Monica Bellucci, Jenna Ortega, and Willem Dafoe. Set more than three decades after the first “Beetlejuice,” it follows Lydia Deetz, now a mother, struggling to keep her family together after a loss as the specter Beetlejuice returns to haunt her. According to Rotten Tomatoes, the fun fantasy film has thus far grossed $226.8 million thus far. It’s on track to surpass a $400 million gross nationwide.
