Biden administration asks appeals courts to dismiss TikTok cases

The U.S. Justice Department is asking two federal appeals court to dismiss cases regarding the legality of a ban issued by former President Donald Trump that would prevent new downloads of TikTok and other apps from Chinese companies. The Justice Department said the cases were no longer pertinent following President Joe Biden's decision to withdraw a series of executive orders issued by his predecessor.
