BlackBerry gives up on internal phone development

BlackBerry, having abandoned efforts to market its own mobile phone software, subsequently decided to go with the Google Android operating system. However, the manufacturer and one-time smartphone leader will now mothball its own internal product development and instead outsource all designing, manufacturing and marketing of the devices.
