BSE Safeguards Stipulated By USDA

Following up last week's announcements of further BSE prevention measures, the USDA issued four new regulations specifically addressing the way product is marked during the inspection process; the classification of what constitutes "risk material"; and the use of air-injection stunning which can cause brain matter to be mixed with the carcass of the animal.
