Building Amazon Go meant overcoming three intricate problems

Amazon vice president Dilip Kumar, speaking at Amazon’s inaugural public Re:MARS conference, laid out three tech challenges the company had to deal with in order to create the checkout-less Amazon Go environment: 1) determining which customer account to charge items to; 2) figuring out what items shoppers were taking, and; 3) making “this entire complexity” work transparently for shop-and-go consumers.
