Burger King and Tim Hortons turn in solid quarters

Burger King's first-quarter same-store sales rose 8.7 percent. Tim Hortons' same-store sales in its home market of Canada were up 15.5 percent. The performance of the two chains helped drive better-than-expected results for Restaurant Brands International. "This is one of the best results we've had in a really long time," said Restaurant Brands CEO Josh Kobza.
