Burger King Brings Back BK Melts, Churro Fries, and Fiery Chicken Fries for the Holidays
December 12, 2024
Burger King is putting on a year-end push to bring loyal BK fans back into the fold, offering up some favorites that haven’t been seen on the chain’s menus for quite some time.
There’s a catch, however: All of the following items will begin hitting restaurants on Dec. 19 and are only available for a limited time, while supplies last.
Burger King Reintroduces BK Melts
As Allrecipes reported, Burger King recently announced the return of three iconic BK Melts in addition to Churro Fries and Fiery Chicken Fries. While these menu items do not represent anything new to longtime fans of the brand, they remain fan favorites, and their return signals a bit of appreciation from the burger chain — and acknowledgment that these items are slated to sell.
Per The Fast Food Post, the returning BK Melts in question are:
- Bacon Melt: This melt boasts two flame-broiled Whopper Jr. patties, American cheese, bacon, caramelized onions, and Stacker Sauce, all placed between two slices of toasted bread. Take One took a stab at the ingredients in BK’s proprietary Stacker Sauce and guessed that it contained mayonnaise, ketchup, pickle relish, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, mustard, and liquid smoke to produce its iconic flavor.
- Classic Melt: As above, but skipping the bacon this time.
- Shroom n’ Swiss: This melt is comprised of two flame-broiled Whopper Jr. patties, a hefty amount of Swiss cheese, and a generous portion of roasted mushrooms, and it’s topped off with BK’s signature Royal Sauce — a sauce YouTuber Wayne Dang described as “like a mayo with a hint of ranchy pepper flavor.” The Shroom n’ Swiss is also placed between the traditional toasted bread slices.
Burger King Churro Fries and Fiery Chicken Fries Join In
If the melts aren’t exactly your things — maybe you’re more into the sides, sweet or spicy — Burger King also has you covered.
Churro Fries are coming back to BK by popular demand. The sweet cinnamon treats are also available at any hour of the day, which is a big bonus.
Finally, the Fiery Chicken Fries are also joining the holiday fast-food assortment. Fans of a bit of heat will certainly enjoy these fried chicken fries, though if you don’t like things too spicy, you might want to opt for the standard chicken fries BK offers.
The news comes on the heels of Burger King’s launch of its first-ever Advent calendar, which contains a whopping $100 worth of value for just $19.99.
