Burger King & Hidden Valley Ranch Team Up for ‘The Big Dip’
October 15, 2024
Burger King wants to give its customers a jumbo size of ranch dressing, teaming up with Hidden Valley Ranch — the originators of ranch dressing — to create “The Big Dip.”
A press release announcement revealed that together, the two brands will present a special dish to the guests that is sure to have them all talking — and dipping. The standard 1-ounce dip cup is replaced with 8 ounces of creamy, tangy Hidden Valley Ranch in the Big Dip cup.
Burger King stores in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami, Dallas, Houston, and San Francisco will start serving the Big Dip cup on Oct. 16 while supplies last. Customers in these markets can order any BK sandwich and request the Big Dip cup in-restaurant at no extra charge by using a proprietary tracker to locate the closest restaurant providing it.
“Once we introduced Hidden Valley Ranch to Burger King restaurants nationwide, we knew we wanted to celebrate the partnership in a big way,” said Pat O’Toole, chief marketing officer of Burger King North America, in a statement accompanying the press release. “We know our Guests love dipping everything in ranch — even their sandwiches — so we’re excited to deliver a Hidden Valley Ranch dip cup big enough for all of their dipping and dunking needs.”
“We are thrilled that Hidden Valley Ranch is now available at Burger King,” added CC Ciafone, marketing director at Hidden Valley Ranch. “A Big Dip cup big enough for a Whopper sandwich felt like the perfect way to celebrate the exciting news that America’s Favorite Ranch is now available at Burger King.”
Dip Your Burger King Addams Family Whopper in Ranch
BK customers who like ranch dressing with their burgers can order the cup next to the brand’s limited-edition Addams Family-themed Whoppers, which are offered with a purple bun.
Some of the most popular delicacies from the restaurant franchise have been reimagined as the eerily delicious Addams Family menu items, just in time for Halloween. On a toasted purple bun, Wednesday’s Whopper, for instance, has Swiss cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, mayonnaise, ketchup, pickles, and onions. The bun’s natural purple hue comes from purple potatoes, and black sesame seeds are sprinkled on top.
Additionally, the packaging used to sell the brand’s crispy onion rings pays tribute to Thing, the family’s one-handed servant. They are referred to as Thing’s Rings on the menu. Customers can get something sweet to round out their meal by trying Gomez’s Churro Fries, served with chocolate dipping sauce, or Morticia’s Kooky Chocolate Shake, topped with black and purple cookie pieces.
