Burger King Introduces Cheesy Menu Additions

Burger King’s latest menu expansion is sure to catch the attention of fast-food aficionados everywhere. The chain has introduced three new items, each focused on a cheesy twist that’s bound to appeal to fans of cheese-flavored food.

First up is the Philly Melt, part of the limited-time return of BK Melts, which features Whopper Jr. Patties, a pair of Swiss cheese slices, fire-grilled peppers and onions, and Royal Sauce between toasted bread slices. Introduced on May 16, there will also be Classic and Bacon options.

Additionally, Burger King will be piloting a Buffalo Ranch Royal Crispy Melt in select locations, offering a spicy alternative with a chicken fillet, buffalo ranch, Swiss cheese, and bacon. This sandwich will only be available at participating locations around Washington, D.C., and Atlanta, Georgia.

Last year, Burger King hinted at things to come with the nationwide debut of Mozzarella Fries, which underwent initial testing in select Columbus, Ohio, locations. These fry-shaped mozzarella cheese sticks, encased in a crispy seasoned breading, now join the permanent menu lineup, replacing the chain’s previous mozzarella sticks. Available in servings of four, eight, or 12 pieces, accompanied by marinara sauce, they offer a satisfyingly cheesy snacking option with calorie counts ranging from 240 to 730.

Expanding its offerings inspired by Philadelphia’s iconic cheesesteak, Burger King has also introduced the Philly Royal Crispy Wrap. The Crispy Wrap includes a soft tortilla filled with Royal Crispy Chicken, fire-grilled peppers and onions, Swiss cheese, and Royal Sauce, adding a tangy twist to the traditional wrap format. BK first introduced its line of Royal Crispy Wraps last year in August and has since expanded it with the Fiery Buffalo option.

Additionally, in conjunction with its 70th anniversary, Burger King has also unveiled a Birthday Pie Slice, available for a limited time at participating locations nationwide. This dessert option features a creamy birthday cake-flavored pie filling nestled within a cookie crumb crust and adorned with rainbow sprinkles, cake bites, and a dollop of whipped topping.
