April 25, 2025
Burger King is helping inflation-weary Americans get a break on their wallets by offering a buy one, get one (BOGO) free deal that can’t be beat. For a limited time, the fast-food chain is offering two Whoppers for the price of one. Let’s take a look at how you can get this deal.
Get BOGO Burger King Whoppers Until April 27
Men’s Journal is reporting that this week is officially BOGO Whopper week, and participating restaurants are giving a buy one, get one free Whopper bargain every day until April 27. Use an offer from the Burger King mobile app or website. During the promotional period, customers may only use the BOGO Whopper deal once per day.
It’s free to join BK rewards, but customers who use third-party delivery apps like Uber Eats or DoorDash are not eligible for the promotion.
“At Burger King, we’ve been serving up mouthwatering burgers since 1954,” the company says on its official website. “Each day, over 11 million guests visit a Burger King restaurant somewhere in the world. With locations in more than 100 countries and US territories, the original Home of the Whopper has a global reach that other QSR burger franchise opportunities can’t match.”
The Whopper has had several distinct versions over the years. Burger King explained that its famous Angry Whopper was initially presented in 2008. This fan-favorite menu option periodically comes back and features “melted habanero cheese, hardwood-smoked bacon, fresh jalapeño slices, and layered spicy onion petals, topped with Angry sauce.”
The very first Whopper, however, was sold by BK in 1957, and that classic recipe is what keeps customers coming back for more. The original Whopper features “a real meaty flame-grilled Whopper beef patty, topped with tangy pickles, ketchup, fresh tomatoes, crisp lettuce and fresh onions, finished with creamy mayo and served on a toasted five-inch sesame seed bun.”
New BK Innovation Center
While fans are enjoying a classic Burger King menu option, they can also take comfort in knowing that the fast-food giant has a new innovation center near its headquarters in Miami.
The idea for the testing center first surfaced in the summer of 2022, with building beginning in 2023. It took over a year to finish before officials could start using the property. The move enables the fast-food behemoth to concentrate more on streamlining back-of-house and front-of-house operations, advancing AI and technology, and improving restaurant design and image.
The facility’s focal point is a full-scale model of Burger King’s newest restaurant concept, the Sizzle prototype. This facility enables employees to perform simulated operations and experiment with different layout configurations before implementing them across the brand’s locations.
“We started with an empty warehouse and we just went broadly across the organization to our development team and our technology groups and our operations innovation team and we tried to figure out, OK, how can we transform this empty warehouse to a place where we can think about equipment innovation, where we can think about process and technology innovation, but also we needed a space that was big enough to allow us to have a full-sized Sizzle restaurant so that we can test what would a full drive-thru operation look like and really get a feel for that space in three dimensions,” said VP of Operations Marc Aust to QSR.
He continued: “That process took some months, and then we just went to work and what we ended up with is a really engaging space again that’s inviting for our franchise advisory boards. We’re just bringing everyone together to really think about what the future of that guest experience looks like.”
