Burkle Finds Support in B&N Battle

Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS) agrees with Ron Burkle that Barnes & Noble would benefit by adding outsiders to its board of directors and upping the amount of shares a single shareholder could hold before a poison pill provision kicks in. Two similar services to ISS, Glass Lewis & Co. and Egan-Jones Ratings Co., sided with Barnes & Noble in previous reports.
