California Governor says state will cut ties with Walgreens over abortion pills

California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) said that the state would cease doing business with Walgreens in reaction to the company's decision to forego filling prescriptions for abortion bills in states where Republican attorneys general have threatened legal action. Walgreens said it would distribute pills where it operates within federal and state laws. Mr. Newson accused the chain of caving to right-wing extremists looking to deny women access to reproductive healthcare.
