Canadian Tire takes a hit from inflation and changing consumer habits

Canadian Tire reported that its profits fell 20 percent in the third quarter as the chain faced higher costs and changes in consumer behavior driven by inflation. Same-store sales at the retailer's namesake stores rose 0.7 percent.
