The Capital Grille Puts Gourmet Twist on National Cheeseburger Day

September 17, 2024

The Capital Grille has joined in on National Cheeseburger Day, putting a high-end twist on the foodie holiday.

In a press release announcement, it was revealed that the fine-dining chain has brought back its popular Wagyu & Wine promotion. It is a special match where customers can savor one of three Duckhorn portfolio reds, which are rarely served by the glass, and one of three gourmet wagyu burgers. From now until Friday, Nov. 1, visitors can indulge in this unique hand-crafted pairing in The Capital Grille lounge, priced at $35.

Each served with duck fat sea salt fries, the Wagyu & Wine menu’s three burger choices include:

  • The Grille’s Wagyu Cheeseburger, layered with grilled onions, steak sauce, and Vermont white cheddar cheese.
  • Wagyu Blue Cheese and Black Truffle Burger, topped with cabernet-braised red onions
  • Wagyu Mushroom and Swiss Burger, layered with roasted shiitake, Jarlsberg cheese, and truffle aioli

Can’t Afford the Capital Grille? There Are Other Options

The Capital Grille is the perfect place for a romantic date night or an impressive business dinner. But for customers who want to get in on the National Cheeseburger Day fun without breaking the bank, there are other more affordable alternatives.

Just yesterday, McDonald’s said that on Wednesday, Sept. 18, in observance of National Cheeseburger Day, it will be selling cheeseburgers for just half a dollar.

For less than the cost of a cup of coffee, the business is selling double cheeseburgers in honor of the gastronomic celebration. The only customers who can take advantage of this deal, however, are those who place their orders through the McDonald’s app.

This is only the most recent discount the business is providing.

The majority of McDonald’s restaurants in the U.S. are continuing their summertime $5 meal deal through December, according to The Associated Press. It’s expected that other fast-food restaurants with similar incentives will follow suit.

McDonald’s executives are also encouraging people to order using the app since there will be flash discounts running through the end of the year. Customers can also accrue points, which can be redeemed for complimentary food once the promotions come to an end.
