Carl’s Jr. and Alix Earle Help Ease Super Bowl Hangovers With Free Hangover Burgers

Carl’s Jr. has collaborated with Alix Earle to help the pain of Super Bowl hangovers one burger at a time.
For those who have a little too much fun during their Super Bowl celebration on Feb. 9, the burger chain has released a collaboration with social media superstar Alix Earle. Together they have upgraded the chain’s Hangover Burger to not only feed your belly, but your soul.
The day after the big game is the unofficial Carl’s Jr. National Hangover Day, according to a company press release. Therefore, to ease the pain of partying too hard during Super Bowl Sunday, the fast-food joint partnered with Earle to promote a free Hangover Burger for those who need it most on Feb. 10, 2024.
“Alix Earle is celebrated by millions for her authenticity as well as her unapologetic, bold style — much like the Carl’s Jr. brand. Alix shares not just the highlights of life, but also the moments that are a hot mess, like the day after the big game. We wanted a partner who embraces all aspects of life, and Alix was a natural fit,” said Kara Gasbarro, vice president of creative at CKE Restaurants.
“Her fans and followers know she loves late-night burger runs and any cure for a fun night out, making this partnership a perfect match. We’re excited about this uniquely delicious burger and the way Alix helps us bring this campaign to life,” Gasbarro added.
Jennifer Tate, chief marketing officer at CKE Restaurants, stated, “At Carl’s Jr., we are unapologetic about our bold flavors, and we know that guests can’t get enough. So, this year, we delivered The Carl’s Jr. Hangover Burger with super influencer Alix Earle to feed our guests’ insatiable hunger with Alix’s twist on our breakfast burger that is impossible to resist. We know that people may need a little extra help the day after the big game, so we’re offering something that’s really worth waking up for, and as a bonus it’ll take the edge off and satisfy that craving.”
What Is the Hangover Burger From Carl’s Jr.?
Per Carl’s Jr., the Hangover Burger consists of a charbroiled beef burger, folded egg, bacon, melty Swiss cheese, crispy hash rounds, and special sauce on a seeded bun.
However, there is a catch to obtain the free item. Customers must use their My Rewards account. But there’s no purchase necessary to redeem the offer.
To claim a free Hangover Burger, guests must be My Rewards members. Guests can download the Carl’s Jr. app and create a My Rewards account if they are not currently a member.
Existing members will automatically receive their free burger offer in their account on Feb. 10. New members signing up on Feb. 10 will receive their offer upon sign-up. On the Feb. 10 giveaway, My Rewards members can claim their free burger by ordering ahead in the app for pick-up or delivery. Members can also order at the restaurant and scan their loyalty offer code at the register to get their free burger that way.
Subsequently, from Feb. 11 to March 18, the Carl’s Jr. Hangover Burger by Alix Earle will be available at all restaurants, but it will not be free.
