Yes, it is the Year of the Rooster in China, which would explain the 23-foot-tall cartoon rooster sculpture now welcoming shoppers at a mall in the northern Chinese city of Taiyuan, but with the facial scowl, eccentric hand (wing?) gestures and, in particular, upturned sweep of golden locks, the resemblance to a certain president-elect is hard to dismiss.
