Chipotle Celebrates Cinco de Mayo With Roblox Adventure and Over $1 Million in Free Food

April 30, 2025

Chipotle will celebrate Cinco de Mayo with five days of real food offers, including a Roblox adventure on Cinco de Mayo to score 50,000 free burritos.

Per a press release, the Mexican-inspired fast-food eatery is celebrating Cinco de Mayo with five days of food, fun, and prizes. On May 5, the brand will launch a new, immersive digital gaming experience, “Ingredient Quest,” in the Burrito Builder experience on Roblox. This challenge allows players to collect virtual cards featuring the brand’s 53 ingredients for the opportunity to win free burritos.

“Our fans love to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with our real ingredients,” said Chris Brandt, the company’s chief brand officer. “This year, we’re giving the Roblox community the opportunity to compete for free Chipotle and learn more about what makes our brand unique along the way.”

Here’s how the game works:

  • In Chipotle’s virtual Burrito Builder on Roblox, users will encounter a digital team member who introduces them to the Ingredient Quest. Each player starts with a pack of five unique ingredient cards to kick off the challenge to collect all 53.
  • Players roll burritos to earn Burrito Bucks, the in-game currency used to purchase ingredient card packs — each containing five cards. A total of 40 cards can be found this way.
  • The remaining cards are hidden across the Burrito Builder world, encouraging users to search high and low in a virtual scavenger hunt.
  • The first 50,000 players to gather the full set of 53 ingredient cards will earn a free entrée reward.

Chipotle’s Burrito Builder can be accessed on Roblox’s website. “Ingredient Quest” will launch at 3 p.m. PT on Monday, May 5.

Cinco de Mayo Will Deliver Even More Savings To Celebrate at Chipotle

Chipotle is celebrating Cinco de Mayo with five days of budget-friendly food deals. Fans can enjoy special offers leading up to the holiday.

From May 1 through May 5, guests can enjoy the Mexican-inspired fast food delivered to their door with a $0 delivery fee offer using promo code DELIVER. Additionally, from May 3 through May 5, the eatery is offering free chips and Queso Blanco with promo code CINCO25. Each of these offers is valid only on the Chipotle app or website.

The eatery runs annual specials to retain customer loyalty and to help them save money. These include National Burrito Day and Halloween (Boorito), where they employ special food offers, digital promotions, and giveaways.

National Burrito Day typically occurs on the first Thursday in April. At that time, the eatery gifts customers BOGO deals, $0 delivery, and discounted burritos. Boorito is a long-running tradition where fans who dress in costume or use a special promo code get discounted entrees, usually around $6.

Throughout the year, Chipotle Rewards members enjoy surprise discounts and double points days. They also get access to exclusive limited-time deals tied to new menu items and special occasions.

Chipotle serves “responsibly sourced, classically-cooked, real food with wholesome ingredients without artificial colors, flavors or preservatives.” Currently, there are almost 3,800 restaurants as of March 31, 2025, in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Kuwait, and United Arab Emirates, and the restaurant is the only company of its size that owns and operates all its restaurants in North America and Europe.

Founded in 1993 in Denver, Colorado, Chipotle has grown to thousands of locations across the United States and internationally, focusing on a “Food with Integrity” philosophy that emphasizes responsibly sourced meat, organic produce, and sustainability. The brand is popular for its streamlined menu, quick service, and commitment to transparency in food sourcing. In addition to in-restaurant dining, Chipotle has embraced digital innovation with a user-friendly app, rewards program, and mobile-order pickup lanes known as “Chipotlanes.”
