Chipotle Launches Honey Chicken to Menus

March 8, 2025

Chipotle has launched yet another new menu item, bringing honey chicken nationwide.

In a press release announcement, the Mexican-inspired restaurant revealed that for a limited time, Honey Chicken will be served at restaurants throughout North America and Europe. Chipotle Rewards members had first dibs on the company’s newest menu innovation through the app and proprietary websites on March 6.

Customers in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany can place digital and in-restaurant orders for Chipotle Honey Chicken as of March 7. The company’s newest culinary creation strikes the ideal balance between the distinct heat of the chili peppers and a hint of sweetness from pure wildflower honey.

“Chipotle Honey Chicken was our top performing limited time offer in test markets and we’re excited for guests to taste this bold, new protein with their go-to order,” said Chris Brandt, chief brand officer, in a statement accompanying the press release. “The delicate balance of heat and a touch of sweet pairs perfectly with our real ingredients prepared fresh every day.”

Chipotle Went on a Hiring Spree With the Help of AI

Recently, the Tex-Mex-inspired restaurant revealed that it was fully embracing the artificial intelligence (AI) revolution and using the technology to help with its hiring efforts.

AI will support the fast-food chain’s annual hiring spree in advance of “Burrito Season,” which is the busiest time of year for the business and spans from March to May.

To reduce hiring time, the chain and Paradox introduced “Ava Cado,” an artificial intelligence-powered platform, in October. To ensure that its 3,700+ restaurants are manned during the chain’s busiest season, 20,000 additional employees will be hired using the system.

After Ava Cado’s integration, the time it takes for a candidate to finish their application and start working has decreased from 12 days to four. Thanks to the technology, Chipotle’s application volume has nearly doubled, and the candidate application completion percentage has increased to well over 85% from about 50% prior.

Ava Cado reduces the time it takes to hire someone for an in-restaurant position by up to 75% by interacting with prospects, responding to their inquiries, obtaining basic information, setting up interviews, and making offers in real time. Thanks to the multilingual system, candidates can communicate in English, Spanish, French, and German.
