Clothing retailers are out of season for consumers

Consumers have changed their purchasing patterns to buy clothing when they need it, not weeks ahead in anticipation of a change in season/weather. Retailers with racks filled with winter clothing during a warm December should have gotten the memo, but apparently they did not.
