Congress adds protections for pregnant and nursing workers

Congress has passed the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act, which requires employers to provide pregnant workers with access to water, increased bathroom breaks and restrictions on lifting heavy objects. The Pump Act extends breaks for workers who are nursing their babies.
