Consumer prices increased in February

The cost of goods purchased by U.S. consumers rose 1.7 percent in February, following a 1.4 percent increase in January. Underlying inflation remains under control as demand for services such as airline travel, which have been curtailed during the pandemic, have yet to rebound.
