Consumer prices jumped again in July

Consumer prices increased 5.4 percent on a year-over-year basis in July. The increase was slightly more than the 5.3 percent expected by economists polled by Bloomberg. Yearly gains are expected to moderate in the coming months as businesses catch up with production and supply chain disruptions.
