Consumers find fewer product choices at the supermarket

The number of SKUs in grocery stores has fallen as retailers and vendors focus on keeping shelves stocked with the products most in demand by consumers. The monthly grocery bill for the average American household in July was about $455, up 10 percent over last year, based on census data.
