Costco's plan to restrict gas sales to members may not fly in New Jersey

Costco next month is planning to restrict gasoline sales to its club members across the country. The plan, however, may not be legal in New Jersey. The retailer was previously informed in 2004 by the state that it could not require membership in order to fill one's tank.
