Coty sells majority stake in hair and nail care brands

Coty Inc. announced it would sell a majority stake in its hair and nail care business, including the Clairol, ghd, OPI and Wella brands, for $750 million to KKR & Co. The deal was announced after Coty reported a net loss of 36 cents a share in the third quarter as revenue fell 23 percent.
