Retailers such as Ultra Beauty and Sephora, as well as many department stores, are known for their self-serve cosmetics-testing stations. While the strategy undoubtedly works to draw in buyers, retailers most likely aren’t thrilled with customers who grab free samples and habitually use the stations without the intention of making purchases.
