Department stores focusing on what will sell for Christmas

Fragrance and jewelry are among the categories that Marc Metrick, president and CEO of Saks, says are selling. The department store chain is counting on gifting, including the kind whereby customers buy things for themselves, to drive its business in what has been an extremely difficult year.
