Diner to pay $1.35 million for using wait staffs' tips to pay bussers' wages

The Empire Diner in Landsdowne, PA, was found to have taken its wait staff's tips to pay the hourly wages for its bussers. The business must now pay $1.35 million in back wages and damages to more than 100 wait staff whose tips it misappropriated.
