A Designer Branded Christmas

By George Anderson

Kmart and Target are hoping to get shoppers in the holiday buying mood with designer brand decorative holiday products, says the Detroit Free Press.

Kmart unveiled Martha Stewart Everyday Holiday items yesterday. The line of products covers seven categories with more than 1,000 skus.

Minneapolis-based Target is following up its successful back-to-school home/dorm decor lineup designed by Todd Oldham with its launch of ornaments and other holiday items from Christopher Radko. The rollout of the Radko line will begin next week.

not?

Wal-Mart doesn’t appear to think so. It is not following
suit with its own designer brand holiday decor products.
