Russell Simmons of Run DMC fame, founder of DefJam Records and chairman of the Hip-Hop Summit Action Network (HSAN) has called on lovers of the music to boycott Pepsi-Cola products.
Mr. Simmons and HSAN accuse Pepsi of a double standard in their decision to drop the performing artist Ludacris from the company's commercials for using obscene language while featuring ads with Ozzy Osbourne.
Moderator's Comment: What are your thoughts on the call for a boycott on Pepsi products from the Hip-Hop Summit Action Network?
Pepsi had every right to stop using Ludacris in commercials if they found the words in his music or his personal comments to be offensive to consumers of their products. They should apply this same reasoning and yank Ozzy's spots, as well. What's good for hip-hopper is good for the head banger. [George Anderson - Moderator]
